Here are a few more cards that we've made. This first one is an anniversary card. The paper is from Pink Paislee and the inspiration for this one was the Nellie Snellen heart die. The 3D is from Le Suh and again I've used a Grommet Tag from Spellbinders. The stamp is from JustRite Stamps. I've inked the card with Versamagic Tea Leaves ink. This one was inspired by two cards that I saw using the (then) new Marianne's Designables. I took both ideas and combined them into my own design. I just LOVE these embossing folders - the designs are gorgeous and they look so elegant. This one is a simple black and white card made on pearl cardstock. The ladies head is a Marianne's Creatables die cut in white and then cut out of black card. I've added black and silver rhinestons to finish it off. Another one inspired by the Marianne's Designables and one of my favourite 3D's - Miniature ladies from Le Suh. This one is just on plain white cardstock

Thank You

This is still one of my favourite cards of the year, although the photo isn't the best I'm sorry. I designed this card around the Marianne's Creatables dies of the bird cage and bird. The DP is from Mellissa Frances and it's just gorgeous. The bird is cut out on white cardstock and inked with Brilliance Pearlescent Beige ink.  I've also used the same ink around the tag.  The tag is a Spellbinders from the Grommet Tags set and the sage flower is a Kaisercraft Blossom. The rhinestone flourish is also from Kaisercraft. I added some white fringing ribbon  around the flowers.

Just for Mother's Day

I am miles behind with posting some of the cards we've been making so I'm going to try and make an effort to catch up over the next week or so. To start with here is a card we made for Mother's Day. I got the inspiration from the 3D picture, which I felt would look good as two separate components on the card. The one on the inside of the card is the base image and the one of the front is the rest of the image made up into a 3D. I also gave my students the option of making this a birthday card, for those who don't have a Mum anymore or who had already made a Mother's Day card. I printed the verses on the computer for the girls.

November Competition

Hi everyone. My apologies for posting this so late in the month but  I have been away as some of you  know. We had a lovely time down at Mylestom, just south of Coffs Harbour, for the National 3D archery Championships. A successful weekend too I might add with our daughter Krystal coming 3rd in QLD, my husband came 1st in QLD, 2nd at the Nationals and our son Jayden came 1st in QLD, 1st at the Nationals and got Shooter of the Year for his division. Needless to say we are very proud of both kids and I'm proud of hubby too. He was so close to 1st, but just a couple of silly mistakes made his miss out by just 8 points. Oh well, next year!! Anyway, on to the competition... The theme this month is "BLUE & GREEN SHOULD NEVER BE SEEN " It is an old saying that Blue and Green should never be seen. However there are some lovely papers around that combine the two colours beautifully. So this month your challenge is to make a card with co-ordinating blues and gree

October Winner

Thanks again to everyone who entered the competition this month. Vintage is one of my favourite themes at the moment and I knew we'd get some lovely cards for the competition. As gorgeous as those cards were there was one card that really stood out this time and everyone agreed. This delightful card was made by PAM It is an all original idea too, made up by Pam and so beautifully put together. It did take her 7 hours I believe to put it all together and I'd believe it too! Well done Pam a fantastic card and we were delighted that Pam let us make the card in class the following week - thanks Pam  :) Well done to everyone else on some gorgeous cards too.
