September Competition

Hello again,

Well it's time to announce a new competition. Last weekend was Father's Day here in Australia so with that in mind I have chosen the theme of a MALE CARD. So basically a card designed for a man. These are always tricky but we have made a few in class just recently. I hope you can all get your thinking caps on and come up with some fantastic designs again.

As an example this is one of the male themed cards that we made in class just recently for Father's Day. Remember though, you can't use a class card, you have to come up with your own idea. I know men's cards are hard but I hope that won't deter you. This competition is designed to challenge you so come on lets see what you can come up with :o)

TO ENTER:
Simply make a card, scrapbooking page or other project following the theme and give it to me, email me a picture or a link to your project. The winner will be drawn on October 1st and don't worry, I won't be judging, it will be someone who is impartial who will not know who made the cards/projects.

THE RULES:
The rules are very simple and are as follows:

The card/project must be your own design and made by you.
You can enter as many times as you like.
If you give me the card please put it in a plastic bag with no name on the card anywhere
All cards handed to me will be returned if possible after the competition
Entering the competition entitles me to publish a picture of your project on my blog.

THE PRIZE:
The winner will receive a $20 gift voucher to spend in the store.

Competition closes at midnight on Friday 30th September

I look forward to seeing your creations.
Good luck!

August Challenge

Thank you to everyone who entered the August Challenge. The theme was "Beautiful Borders" and I think it was quite a challenge as we didn't get as many entries as usual. We did get some gorgeous cards though and the winner this time was   Glenda   with her stunning ivory and gold card using the Quickutz Die - Petite Petals. Congratulations Glenda, you now have a $20 voucher to spend in store.   Here is Glenda's winning card     The encouragement award this month goes to Jean Riches for her lovely use of the Marianne Die to create a fan. What a great idea! The die itself is gorgeous but teamed up with this beautiful Martha Stewart punched border and hand made flowers, it's beautiful. Well done Jean.     This card was also made by Glenda and it takes the theme of borders out of the box, by using flowers as the border. Clever idea!   Rhonda's card using one of my favourite dies in turquoise and white, again with some lovely p
