August competition

Hi  everyone,

There are so many beautiful dies coming out on the market now and they are so hard to resist! Every time I turn around there are new ones coming out and the card samples that showcase them are so gorgeous that of course you have to have every single one!!! So many dies, so many cards to make...so little time!

So this months competition is going to be a card or project using a die or lots of dies. I know most of us have Cuttlebugs and Big Shots these days, but there are some who don't, so if you wish you may also make a card using a punch. Or else come and see me and I'll gladly die cut some shapes for you to make your card :) I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

To get you interested and to get you thinking about what you can do, here is a stunning card that my design team member Jenelle made for us last week. This is just to show you what sort of thing you can do for your card or project.

TO ENTER:
Simply make a card, scrapbooking page or other project following the theme and give it to me, email me a picture or a link to your project. The winner will be drawn on September1st and don't worry, I won't be judging, it will be someone who is impartial who will not know who made the cards/projects.

THE RULES:
The rules are very simple and are as follows:

The card/project must be your own design and made by you.
You can enter as many times as you like.
If you give me the card please put it in a plastic bag with no name on the card anywhere
All cards handed to me will be returned if possible after the competition
Entering the competition entitles me to publish a picture of your project on my blog.

THE PRIZE:
The winner will receive a $20 gift voucher to spend in the store.

Competition closes at midnight on Wednesday 31st August

I look forward to seeing your creations.
Good luck!!

August Challenge

Thank you to everyone who entered the August Challenge. The theme was "Beautiful Borders" and I think it was quite a challenge as we didn't get as many entries as usual. We did get some gorgeous cards though and the winner this time was   Glenda   with her stunning ivory and gold card using the Quickutz Die - Petite Petals. Congratulations Glenda, you now have a $20 voucher to spend in store.   Here is Glenda's winning card     The encouragement award this month goes to Jean Riches for her lovely use of the Marianne Die to create a fan. What a great idea! The die itself is gorgeous but teamed up with this beautiful Martha Stewart punched border and hand made flowers, it's beautiful. Well done Jean.     This card was also made by Glenda and it takes the theme of borders out of the box, by using flowers as the border. Clever idea!   Rhonda's card using one of my favourite dies in turquoise and white, again with some lovely p
